Student loan legislation may help colleges explain aid

Dr. Alan Kadish, president and CEO of Touro College, says that new legislation signed into law by President Obama to lower interest rates on student loans is a good thing for the short term. However, he said that eventually rates might increase substantially, which could result in lower enrollment numbers for colleges and universities.

New York Issuing Scorecards on Teacher Colleges

New York City released scorecards to evaluate 12 teacher-preparation programs and, in addition to ranking as one of the top schools overall, the Touro College Graduate School of Education had the largest percentage of teachers certified in special education, at 86 percent, double the citywide average.
