Have you tried to implement a new program at your school but can't seem to get others on board? Have you been met with resistance or hostility? Learn how to get their buy-in!

Join us for an interactive session with author and former principal Dr. Susan Villani. We will cover topic such as how to promote individual and group understanding using the Norms of Collaborations, how to apply the Concerns Based Adoption Model to your initiative and prevent barriers to the success of your endeavor, and how to employ the Dimensions of Success in planning for your next meeting or event.

This interactive session begins at 9:00 and ends at 2:00. Consultation and/or coaching appointments may be made for times between 2:00 and 4:00. This session is offered free of charge by the Equity Assistance Center, Region 2.

Session Presenter: Dr. Susan Villani, who was a school principal for twenty one years, has written books about leadership and coaching, and who now presents and consults with districts throughout the United States.

Objectives

  1. Use the Norms of Collaboration to promote individual and group understanding on specific topics
  2. Learn and apply the Concerns Based Adoption Model to a new initiative or ongoing change in your school or district in terms of ways to address resistance
  3. Employ the Dimensions of Success in planning for a specific meeting or event
  4. Anticipate barriers to the success of an endeavor and identify ways to prevent or address those barriers from impeding buy-in
